Instead of convening a meeting in February, the CNG Steering Committee encourages friends to attend the February, 22 Cradle to Career: Plan for the Future community event.
The next CNG meeting will be at 8AM, March 22, 2018, Rochester Area Foundation: featuring (1) panel conversations on social determinants for health--their relationship with P2S; (2) Complete Count 2020. More details to come.

We’re kicking off the spring series of the NonProfit Academy with Building Your Communications Plan on March 28th from 1-4pm. Two of Rochester’s senior communicators will spend an afternoon helping you to create a plan to increase awareness, interest and participation for your organization - as well as better relationships with your stakeholders and funders. Come join Heather Holmes from Journey to Growth and John Hachtel from UMR for a fun and productive afternoon talking about branding, public relations, communications, and opportunities for moving your organization forward. Herberger’s Community Days Fundraising Opportunity is happening March 1st-3rd this year. They provide a coupon booklet that you can sell and keep 100% of the proceeds to direct toward mission activities. Booklets are available for purchase online as well. Some organizations who have a great network and do this annually have recognized up to $15,000 which is a great addition for any size budget. For more information go to: www.communitydayevent.com.
As part of its 30th Anniversary Celebration, and to show the value of older individuals to lead and inspire, Elder Network is recognizing 30 individuals or couples who are over 60 and who are serving as a vital part of our community. To nominate a senior you would like to recognize, complete the website form: www.elder-network.org/news.php. Nominations are due by March 16th and awards will be announced by March 23rd. Rochester Area Volunteer Administrators (RAVA) and 125 Live are co-sponsoring a volunteer fair on April 12th. Tables are free and the public will be invited to sign up for volunteer opportunities. If you are seeking new volunteers, here’s your chance to meet those in the community who have an interest in becoming involved! An informational flyer is attached.
