The City of Rochester and Destination Medical Center (DMC) continue to advance the work of connecting the future Rochester Rapid Transit system, which will run along 2nd Street SW and South Broadway Avenue to the surrounding neighborhoods. Building upon open houses held on February 4, 2020, the City of Rochester and DMC is hosting online “Open Houses” during the month of April. This virtual format allows the public to learn more about proposed station locations and studies of their surrounding areas. The online “Open House” kicked off with a webinar on April 7th, and will include two more webinars focusing on different sections of the project.
The series continues with a webinar focused on the 2nd Street SW Corridor Station Area Plans. During this webinar the project team will present station area plan ideas and connectivity opportunities into the surrounding neighborhoods.
Due to COVID-19 Pandemic and a commitment to maintaining social distancing, the virtual format was developed to encourage and allow the ongoing engagement of community members. The project team thanks everyone for their flexibility and willingness to adapt in an ever-evolving time of change.
