Our youth who suffer trauma in various ways have successfully completed the 8 Steps to Promotion Workshop. The workshop is an 8 week program that focuses on life skills. Despite the challenges they continue to face at home and in society they continued dedicating their time to personal growth. Because of that, we want to acknowledge their hard work and efforts by giving them memorable experiences outside of their local neighborhoods to expand their creative conscience.  New Mayo Clinic, U of M framework aims to guide future research. The framework defines structural racism as the “totality of ways in which societies foster racial discrimination through mutually reinforcing systems of housing, education, employment, earnings, benefits, credit, media, health care and criminal justice.”
